
Syracuse Recalls Evgueni Nourislamov

Syracuse, NY (December 16, 2004) â The Syracuse Crunch announced today that they have recalled defenseman Evgueni Nourislamov from San Diego (ECHL). The team also announced that the Columbus Blue Jackets have reassigned right wing Steven Goertzen and defenseman Ole-Kristian Tollefsen to Dayton (ECHL).
Nourislamov, 22, has appeared in 19 games with San Diego this season, recording 4 goals, 6 assists and 12 penalty minutes. In 32 games with San Diego last season, Nourislamov recorded 1 goal, 9 assists and 28 penalty minutes. A native of Ufa, Russia, Nourislamov signed an AHL contract with Syracuse September 8, 2004.
Goertzen, 20, has appeared 20 games with Syracuse this season, recording 1 goal, 2 assists and 44 penalty minutes. In 28 career AHL games, all with Syracuse, Goertzen has tallied 1 goal, 5 assists and 48 penalty minutes. A native of Stony Plain, Alberta, Goertzen was Columbus' 11th pick, 225th overall, in the 2002 Entry Draft.
Tollefsen, 20, has appeared in 16 games with Syracuse this season, recording 50 penalty minutes. In 96 career games with Brandon (WHL), Tollefsen tallied 9 goals, 41 assists and 167 penalty minutes. A native of Oslo, Norway, Tollefsen was Columbus' third pick, 65th overall, in the 2002 Entry Draft.
The Crunch hosts Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Friday, December 17. On Saturday, December 18, Rochester visits Syracuse for the first-ever DestiNY USA Teddy Bear Toss.
