Switchbacks FC Play Real Monarchs For First Time in USL Regular-Season Match

Colorado Springs, Colo. (Thursday, April9, 2015) - Back on the road!
The Switchbacks FC (0-2-0) will be hitting the road for the first of two games against USL Western Conference rival the Real Monarchs SLC (0-1-2). The two teams met for the first time in a friendly in Grand Junction during preseason.
There is a long-standing rivalry in Colorado with the Salt Lake City teams, and this rivalry is expected to be no different.
Real Monarchs SLC joins the Switchbacks FC as one of the new teams to the league in this 2015 season. Real Monarchs SLC is affiliated with Major League Soccer's Real Salt Lake. The Real Monarchs played their inaugural season home match on Wednesday against the Portland Timbers 2, ending in a 1-1 tie.
The Switchbacks FC will be without Defender Jordan Burt (#25) who is out due to a red card suspension. Burt received a pair of yellow cards during the home opener on April 4th against OKC Energy FC. Burt is expected to be eligible when the Switchbacks FC face the Real Monarchs SLC at home on Friday, April 17th.
