Switchbacks FC Play First-Ever USL Home Game Saturday

Colorado Springs, Colo. (Thursday, April 2, 2015) - Are you ready for some football, Switchbacks' style?
The Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC (0-1-0) will host their Home Opener this Saturday, April 4th at 1 p.m. at Sand Creek Stadium against rivals Oklahoma City Energy FC (0-0-1)!
This will be the very first-ever home game for the Switchbacks FC and the first-ever meeting between the two teams.
The Switchbacks played the first game of their 2015 inaugural season last Saturday, March 28th in Austin, Texas against the Aztex. It was the first true test for the Switchbacks' team. Though it was a hard-fought battle, the Switchbacks fell 2-0.
The OKC Energy opened their 2015 season in Tulsa against in-state rival Roughnecks FC. The Energy led the way with a goal in the 45th minute, but the Roughnecks battled back with a goal in the 72nd minute ending the game in a 1-1 draw. The Energy's inaugural season was last year, when they ended in 10th place in the USL.
The Switchbacks' Home Opener will include an appearance by Southern Colorado's own Miguel Dakota - finalist on "America's Got Talent," a beer garden featuring Heineken & Pikes Peak Brewing Company favorites, and unique permanent suite structures.
