OKC Energy FC News Release
OKLAHOMA CITY - OKC Energy FC and the local Chick-Fil-A restaurants have agreed on a partnership to give soccer fans across the metro area to take part in once-in-a-lifetime opportunity during a soccer match this season.
Chick-Fil-A is being prominently featured during each halftime during Energy FC home games during the 2015 season. One lucky soccer fan is chosen from one of the 14 metro area restaurants for the opportunity to win chicken for a year from Chick-Fil-A. All the soccer fan has to is score a goal from the penalty kick spot through some interesting obstacles in the form of the Chick-Fil-A cows..
"The Chick-fil-A restaurants in the greater Oklahoma City area are thrilled to partner with our OKC Energy Football Club," says local Chick-fil-A franchise operator Brian Hilgenfeld. "We know this will be a great year! We appreciate that the team believes in giving back to the community."
"During our meetings with Chick-Fil-A, they challenged us to create a contest that would entertain people at the stadium and help drive traffic to their stores," said Prodigal president Jeff Ewing. "This partnership does both. Someone gets to step on the pitch at historic Taft Stadium during our game with the opportunity to win free chicken for a year. Partnerships like this with Chick-Fil-A gives both entities the opportunity to expand our footprint within our communities."
Fans interested in signing up for the opportunity to win chicken for a year from Chick-Fil-A can sign up at any of the 14 metro area Chick-Fil-A restaurants.
Chick-Fil-A joins companies like Buffalo Wild Wings on NW Expressway, Bob Bartley Electric, AT&T, as well as founding partners Mercy, Kickapoo Casino and First Fidelity Bank as proud partners of Energy FC.
Energy FC opens their season on the road against their in-state rival the Tulsa Roughnecks on March 28. The team's home opener is April 18 against Seattle Sounders 2 at historic Taft Stadium.
