Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC News Release

Colorado Springs, Colo. (Thursday, August 6, 2015) - After a disappointing finish Wednesday night, the Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC look to rebound on the road against Sacramento and take back the top of the table.

Switchbacks FC are hitting the road this weekend to take on defending USL Champions Sacramento Republic FC.

The match comes just three days after Tulsa Roughnecks FC handed the Switchbacks a rare home loss. Now, the Switchbacks are looking to get those three points on the road and push their way back to the top of the USL Western Conference.

"We look to get back on track after a loss to Tulsa Wednesday night," said Switchbacks FC Head Coach Steve Trittschuh. "Going to Sacramento and playing the defending USL Champions will be a good test for us."

Currently, the Switchbacks (11-7-2, 35pts) are standing in third place in the USL's Western Conference, but are only one point behind the current leaders, Seattle Sounders FC 2 and LA Galaxy II, and have a game in hand on both of them. Sacramento Republic FC (10-7-3, 33pts) is two points behind the Switchbacks.

The match is this Saturday, August 8th at 9 p.m. You can watch it live on YouTube and follow us on Twitter.

The Switchbacks will be playing without Kley Bejarano (#30), who will be serving a suspension for accumulating five yellow cards this season.
