Switchbacks FC Host Hailstorm FC in US Open Cup Round Two Match

Colorado Springs, CO - The Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC announced on Monday that the club would be hosting Northern Hailstorm FC of USL League One in a 2nd round U.S Open Cup match.

The game, scheduled for Wednesday April 6th, will kick off at 7:00 pm at Weidner Field in downtown Colorado Springs.

"U.S. Soccer, unlike other American sports, creates legitimate competition between all levels for a cash prize. The top paid professional could compete against the weekend warrior," said Switchbacks President Nick Ragain. "It would be great to see the Open Cup grow to include NCAA D1, D2, D3, NAIA, NJCAA team participation as well to grow the game."

Tickets for this match are available HERE, and season ticket members will have an opportunity to confirm their reserved seats for this match.

The Switchbacks FC 2022 regular season will begin on March 12th, as they host the USL Championship reigning champions Orange County SC. Tickets for that match, and all other 2022 home matches, are available HERE now.
