Switchbacks FC Get Ready for 2nd Rival Match with Real Monarchs SLC

Colorado Springs, Colo. (Wednesday, April 15, 2015) - One win down as the Rocky Mountain rivalry heats up with Real Monarchs SLC.

The Switchbacks FC (1-2-0) will be "under the lights" at Sand Creek Stadium this Friday, April 17 at 7 p.m. They will be tackling USL Western Conference rival the Real Monarchs SLC (0-2-2), for the second time in a week.

The two teams met for the first time in USL regular-season play last Saturday, April 11, in Salt Lake City. The Switchbacks FC beat the Real Monarchs SLC 1-0. Now the Real Monarchs SLC are looking for revenge, while the Switchbacks FC are looking for win number two!

Real Monarchs SLC joins the Switchbacks FC as one of the new teams to the league in this 2015 season. Real Monarchs SLC is affiliated with Major League Soccer's Real Salt Lake. There is a long-standing rivalry in Colorado with the Salt Lake City teams, and this rivalry is expected to be no different.
