Sweets vs. AppleSox Rained Out…Double Header Scheduled for June 20

WALLA WALLA, Wash. - The Walla Walla Sweets game scheduled for tonight, June 19, against the Wenatchee AppleSox has been postponed due to inclement weather and deteriorating field conditions. The game has been rescheduled for tomorrow when the Sweets and AppleSox will play a double-header. The teams will play two seven-inning games, with the first pitch of game one scheduled for 3:05 P.M. First pitch of Game 2 will be at 6:05 or 30 minutes after the end of Game 1 should Game 1 go beyond 6:05 PM. Gates will open at 2:30 PM tomorrow for Game 1.

"We understand that this is an odd schedule for games, but unfortunately we can't control mother nature," said Sweets vice president and general manager Zachary Fraser. "We're trying to make the best of the situation and hope that everyone will come out to Borleske to enjoy an early afternoon baseball game."

Individuals who purchased tickets for the June 19 game may use their tickets for the rescheduled game which will begin at 3:05 PM. Tickets for the June 19 game are good for admittance to both games of the double header. Individuals who have tickets for the June 20 game may also use their ticket for both games of the double header. Thursday is Ladies Night presented by Bergevin Lane Vineyard and Reserved tickets are buy one, get one free for female customers. It's also $4 Bergevin Lane pours, $4 Laht Neppur Peach Hefeweizen drafts, $4 Bud Light Limes, and $2 32 oz. fountain sodas for both games.
