Kelowna Falcons Win Two in a Row

June 19, 2013 - West Coast League (WCL)
Kelowna Falcons News Release

The Kelowna Falcons picked up their second win in as many nights, after a 4-3 victory over the visiting Klamath Falls Gems.

The Falcons who were coming off a 13 run, 15 hit performance the night before continued their hot hitting in their first at bats on Tuesday night. They would score twice on the strength of a Nathan Robertson single and a Chandler Tracy sac fly.

Falcons' starter Nolan Savage allowed just one hit through the first three innings before the Gems finally scored in the fourth to make the score 2-1.

In the bottom of the inning the Falcons would get the run right back. Darren Kolk led off the at bat with a double before Jarryd Klemm would score him on a double of his own.

The Falcons would score the eventual winning run in the bottom of the sixth. Reed Lavallee would knock in Tanner Morache for his fourth RBI of the season.

Savage would toss seven stellar innings in his first win of the season, allowing just one run while striking out a pair.

After a troubling eighth inning in which the bullpen gave up two runs, Cody Lahman would relieve Josh Spence and tally his first save of the summer.

The Falcons are now 4-3 against the Gems all time. The two clubs will meet on Wednesday night at 6:35pm, Marc Andre Habeck is the scheduled starter.
