Walla Walla Sweets News Release
Victoria, B.C.- The Sweets and HarbourCats will end their season series after only playing two games. The rain pounded down on Royal Athletic Park in Victoria for the second time in three days to cancel baseball and this time, the game cannot be made up.
The Sweets were able to hit in the top half of the first, but the rain started with one out in the frame and it started to pour down before long. That put the contest in a rain-delay and after over an hour and a half of waiting, the game was called.
The Sweets will take the field again Monday against the Bluejackets down in Kitsap for the first of three. First pitch is slated for 6:35pm. That game, as always, can be heard on ESPN Walla Walla.
