The Atlantic City Surf and the entire Atlantic League was featured during the opening segment of ABC''s Nightline on Friday night. The Surf and the Atlantic League were part of "Baseball, Hots Dogs, Apple Pie'''' which aired on July 5th at 11:30 p.m. Surf general manager Mario Perrucci was interviewed during the segment as well as Surf manager Mitch Williams. The Sandcastle was featured in the piece, as well as many of the people who work part-time for the Surf.
"I thought the Nightline piece was a perfect fit for the holiday weekend,'' Perrucci said. "Our league was portrayed accurately and with passion.''
