Atlantic City Surf News Release
The Atlantic City Surf defeated the Newark Bears 11-4 Wednesday night at Bears and Eagles Riverfront Stadium. The victory propelled Atlantic City into first-place tie with Camden, which split a doubleheader with the Pennsylvania Riversharks.
The 26-20 Surf were led by four home runs off the bat of Ric Johnson, Raul Marvel, Jose Velasquez and Ben Candeleria. Matt Wagner got the victory for Atlantic City pitching against his former team.
The two teams meet again tonight at 7:05 p.m. when Jason Jacome takes the mound for the Surf. He will be opposed by Alberto Castillo.
