JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Suns will welcome the Baseball USA Tour to the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville on Monday, May 25 in conjunction with the Suns 3:05 p.m. game against the Carolina Mudcats.

The Baseball USA Tour is the product of a group of 13 students and recent graduates of Clemson University in South Carolina. This is a bonafide effort of a young, spirited and enterprising group who formed a company called Ticketadvantage.com.

The tour left Clemson earlier last month in a 42-foot long Monaco Coach and two Chevy Suburbans and opened its 15,000 mile, 45 game, 36 state journey in Greenville, S.C. on Thursday, May 22. It wound through Tennessee before coming to Florida, and will continue on through Louisiana, Texas, California, Oregon, Washington, Nebraska, Iowa, Wisconsin, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, Illinois, Pennsylvania, New York, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, North Carolina and finally back home to South Carolina.

Along the way, the tour will be at the College World Series in Omaha, Neb., the Louisville Slugger Museum, the Major League Baseball All-Star Game in Chicago, Ill., PNC Park in Pittsburgh, Penn., the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, N.Y,. and the site of the film "Field of Dreams" in Dyersville, Iowa.

The tour will be set up at noon on Monday and will include live family entertainment, an interactive video competition, inflatables for summer fun, an area to cool off from the summer heat and the opportunity to congregate with other people. Fans will also have the opportunity to enter a drawing for an all-inclusive trip for two to a MLB World Series game.

The Ticketadvantage.com Baseball USA Tour is sponsored by Monaco Coach Company, General Tire Company, GMAC, Chevrolet, Louisville Slugger, Cal Ripken Baseball, Pace American, Virginia-Carolina Peanuts and HP/Compaq.

Tickets for Monday's game are currently on sale by calling the Suns ticket office at 358-2846 or by going online to www.jaxsuns.com.
