Birmingham Barons News Release

In a series full of weather related delays, the Jacksonville Suns prevailed in the conclusion of Friday's suspended game on a walk-off single by Austin Barnes in the 10th inning in front of 5,309 fans at The Baseball Grounds In Jacksonville.

In the second game of Friday's double-header, the two teams battled through nine scoreless innings before the game was stopped due to Southern League curfew.

Barons starter Chris Bassitt, allowed just three hits and struck out three over 5.0 scoreless innings.

With the loss, the Barons fell to 71-53 and 27-27 in the second half while Jacksonville improved to 66-54 and 32-21 in the second half.
