Bantz Added from AAA Tacoma, Snow Promoted to AAA Tacoma

Jackson, Tenn - The Seattle Mariners made the following roster moves today that affects the Jackson Generals roster prior to today's series finale against the Montgomery Biscuits.

. RHP Forrest Snow has been promoted to AAA Tacoma

. C Brandon Bantz has been activated from AAA Tacoma

SNOW, 24, returns to Triple-A Tacoma where he was 1-0 with a 4.18 ERA (13ER/28.0IP) in 13 relief appearances. Snow began the season in Jackson and was promoted to Tacoma on May 27. Snow returned to Jackson on July 24 from Tacoma. With Jackson, Snow posted a 1-5 record with a 3.00 ERA (14ER/42.0IP) in 23 games, including one start. In his second stint with Jackson, Snow was 0-0 with a 1.91 ERA in 6 games. Snow was Seattle's 36th round draft choice in 2010 out of the University of Washington.

BANTZ, 26, joins the Generals for his second stint in Jackson this season. Bantz made his MLB debut on June 8 vs. the New York Yankees and was 0-for-2 with a strikeout. He was greeted to a standing ovation at SAFECO Field in his first at-bat. Bantz was out righted to Tacoma on June 13 after being designated for assignment. With Triple-A Tacoma Bantz was batting .252 with 2 home runs and 11 RBIs including a game-winning walk off home run for the Rainiers on August 5 vs. Iowa. In 14 games for the Generals this season Bantz is batting .178 with 1 home run and 4 RBIs. He was Seattle's 30th round draft choice in 2009 out of Dallas Baptist.
