CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - The Suns pounced on Lookouts starting pitcher Jesus Castillo early on and never looked back en route to an 8-4 win over the Lookouts in Tuesday night action at AT&T Field.

Jacksonville came charging out of the gate by scoring three runs, highlighted by an Andrew Jenkins two-run shot, in the first inning.

The Suns added two more run in the second frame on a Bryan Petersen two-RBI double. Chattanooga entered the scoreboard in the second on a Jesus Castillo two-RBI single up the middle. The Suns' lead expanded to 7-2 in the third on a single by Chris Hatcher, which plated two runs.

The Lookouts chipped into the Jacksonville lead in the fifth by scoring two more runs. J.D. Closser had a one-out single to start the rally. Pinch hitter Josh Bell doubled to account for the first run of the inning. Justin Sellers followed with a line drive single to center to put the score at 7-4.

Jacksonville added an insurance run in the seventh, and the Suns bullpen pitched four scoreless innings to preserve the 8-4 score. Jarrett Santos (3-0), who entered the game without having yielded a run all season, pitched five innings to earn the win. He surrendered four runs (two earned) on four hits and two walks, while striking out two.

Jesus Castillo dropped to 0-3 on the season by throwing 2.1 innings o seven-run ball. He relinquished eight hits and three walks in the outing. Chattanooga will continue with their five-game homestand against the Jacksonville Suns at 11:15 A.M., tomorrow.
