Suns Announce Roster Moves

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Miami Marlins announced a series of transactions that impact their Double-A affiliate Jacksonville Suns roster prior to tomorrow night's game against the Birmingham Barons at Regions Field.

Outfielder Christian Yelich has been placed on the disabled list, retroactive to June 4 with a lower abdominal strain. Yelich, the Marlins no. 2 prospect according to Baseball America, was hitting .262 with six homers and 28 RBI with the Suns in 41 games this season.

In a corresponding move, catcher Aaron Dudley has been transferred from the disabled list to the Suns' active roster. Dudley was placed on the disabled list on May 26 with a left wrist sprain, and in 10 games is hitting .125 with one RBI.

The Suns roster now stands at 25, in addition to Nathan Eovaldi and Logan Morrison on major league rehab assignments, and a revised roster is attached.
