PENSACOLA, Fla. - The Miami Marlins announced a series of transactions that impacts their Double-A affiliate Jacksonville Suns roster prior to tonight's contest with the Pensacola Blue Wahoos at Pensacola Bayfront Stadium in Pensacola, Fla.
Catcher J.T. Realmuto has been placed on the seven-day Disabled List, retroactive to August 7, due to a right thumb fracture. In 92 games for the Suns this year, Realmuto has accumulated a .234 average (75-321) with four homers and 30 RBI.
In a corresponding move, catcher Sharif Othman has been transferred to Jacksonville from High-A Jupiter.
