Sundogs Re-Acquire Sellan from Missouri; Delforte Placed on 10-Day I.R.

PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. - Arizona Sundogs Head Coach and General Manager Marco Pietroniro announced today the team has re-acquired forward and former Sundog Karl Sellan from the Missouri Mavericks in exchange for future considerations.
Additionally, the team has placed forward Torren Delforte on 10-day injured reserve retroactive to October 23. Delforte has one goal, two penalty minutes (PIM) and is plus-2 in four games this season.
Sellan returns to the franchise with which he began his professional career after spending the 2009-10 season with the Mavericks.
In 43 games with Missouri last season, Sellan collected 12 goals, 11 assists and 236 PIM. The Montreal, Quebec, native recorded the first hat trick in Mavericks franchise history on February 13 against the Mississippi RiverKings and put together a season-high six-game point streak totaling seven points (3g/4a) from February 18-28 last year.
The 5-foot-11, 200-pound forward is the Sundogs' all-time leader in penalty minutes (845), goals (79) and game-winning goals (10), ranks second in power play goals (37) and games played (213) and fifth in points (133).
Sellan totaled a Sundogs single-season record and league-high 401 PIM during the 2008-09 season, surpassing his previous single-season record of 231 set during a season prior.
The 25-year-old eclipsed the 20-goal plateau in each of his first three seasons with Arizona, netting 23 during his rookie season in 2006-07, 21 during the team's championship season in 2007-08 and a career-best 29 in 2008-09.
In 182 regular season games over three seasons with the Sundogs, Sellan has registered 124 points (73g/51a) and 784 penalty minutes (PIM) and has added nine points (6g/3a) and 61 PIM in 31 playoff appearances.
