Colorado's Scott May Named Oakley CHL Player of the Week

TEMPE, AZ (October 25, 2010) -The Central Hockey League announced today that Colorado forward Scott May has been named the Oakley Central Hockey League Player of the Week for the period ending October 24, 2010.

The White Rock, British Columbia native had a pair of memorable games in the week as he helped lead his team to a couple victories in the highly anticipated home-and-home series with the defending CHL Champion Rapid City Rush. The Eagles are currently 3-1-0 and are in a three-way tie for first place in the Turner Conference. May finished the week with five goals and two assists and was a +5.

On Friday night, the 5-10, 190-pound forward netted the Eagles first hat trick of the season in his team's 5-2 win over the Rush. He followed that up the next night with two goals and two assists in Colorado's 7-4 win in Rapid City's home opener.

The 28-year-old returns to North America this season after playing in Italy and Germany over the past two seasons. Prior to that, the majority of the former Toronto Maple Leafs draft pick's (7th round in 2002 NHL Entry Draft) time was spent in the American Hockey League playing for Manitoba, Binghamton, Iowa, Milwaukee and St. John's.
