Friday, October 29 - Missouri Mavericks vs. Mississippi RiverKings, 7:05 p.m. CST

The Mavericks play their second straight game against the Mississippi RiverKings Friday night at Independence Events Center. Mississippi overcame a three-goal deficit to beat Missouri, 5-4, on Saturday night. The Mavericks are now 1-5-1 all-time against the RiverKings on the road, but Missouri is 4-1-0 versus the 'Kings at Independence Events Center. Former Maverick Jeff Christian will make his return to Independence on Friday night. Christian led the Mavericks in scoring during the team's inaugural season with 78 points. He has a goal and two assists with a -7 plus/minus rating in four games with the RiverKings this season.

Saturday's game is the first of five games to be televised on TWC Metro Sports. Bossier-Shreveport heads to Independence in the first of three games this season between the Mavericks and the Mudbugs. The Mudbugs are off to a good start in the 2010-11 season with a 4-2-0 record for eight points and currently in second place in the Berry Conference. Bossier-Shreveport is outscoring their opponents 29-19 through six games including a 10-1 drubbing over the RiverKings on opening night. The Mavericks are 2-2-0 all-time against the Mudbugs.

Friday, October 22 - Missouri 2 vs. Wichita 1
The Mavericks defeated the Wichita Thunder Friday night, 2-1, in front of 5,317 fans at Independence Events Center. Missouri is now 11-0-0 against the Thunder all-time. The goaltending matchup proved to be a great one, as Gerry Festa of Missouri stopped 35 of 36 shots and Wichita's Marty Magers stopped 24 of 26.
Saturday, October 23 - Missouri 4 at Mississippi 5
The Missouri Mavericks gave up a three-goal first period lead and lost 5-4 Saturday night to the Mississippi RiverKings at DeSoto Civic Center in Southaven, Mississippi. Mavericks' defenseman Ray DiLauro had a pair of goals, but the RiverKings scored three power play goals including two in the third period to cap the comeback victory.
Promotions & Notes
Adopt-A-Maverick this Friday - Following the Mavericks game this Friday, fans will have the chance to "Adopt-A-Maverick". The adopting "families" will receive an autographed stick from their player, a picture with the player and a custom Mavericks pendant from Kennedy's Jewelers. For the remainder of the season, the 18 players who are adopted will wear a horseshoe designed patch on their jersey with the name of the adopting family (not including themed jerseys) on the patch. The family will be recognized next to their players name on the Mavericks roster page on MissouriMavericks.com. Immediately following the Mavericks home games on December 23, 2010 and March 1, 2011 the adopting families will meet their player in the locker room. On November 17, the Mavericks will host a dinner for all of the players and their adopting families. Finally, during the Mavericks final home weekend on March 18, 2011 the adopting families will be recognized on the ice in a pre-game ceremony before the Mavericks take on the Wichita Thunder. At the conclusion of the season, adopting families will also receive their player's black game-used jersey signed by the player
Cameron Hughes is Back - The Superfan Cameron Hughes will make his return to the IEC this Friday night. Cameron will be here cheering on the Mavericks and throwing t-shirts out to the crowd all night long.
Frightening Four-Pack - Also, for this Friday night, the Mavericks are offering a Frightening Four-Pack of tickets in which fans can purchase four Rinkside tickets, four hot dogs, four Pepsi soft drinks and a dozen Lamars Donuts for just $80 (normally $120 value).
Halloween Costume Contest - Saturday's game will feature a Halloween Costume Contest in which the Mavericks Party Patrol will choose the best outfits for a chance to win a team signed jersey!
Rib Crib Post-Game Party Saturday Night - Join the Mavericks after the game at Rib Crib on Saturday night for the first post-game party of the season. Fans can enjoy a $10.99 barbeque buffet and mingle with the players.
Streaks - Mavericks' forward Nick Sirota has a point in every game so far this season. The second-year player had a goal and an assist in the Mavs last game at Mississippi to extend his streak to four games. He has six points (2-46) and is tied with forward Ryan Jardine (1-56) for the team lead.
