Sundogs Lose Tough Battle against Rush, Final 2-0

Prescott Valley, AZ - The Arizona Sundogs lost a tough battle against the Rapid City Rush Friday night at Tim's Toyota Center, final score 2-0.

The Arizona Sundogs were unable to solve Tim Boron, being shutout by the Rapid City goalminder, despite their 28 shots on goal. Rapid City's, Riley Wesleowski opened the scoring up with a feed from Jesse Shultz and Jared Brown handing the Rush the early lead that they would carry through 60 minutes of play.

Rapid City continued to hold on to their one point lead after the middle frame. Brown scored with a wrister from the left corner pushing Rapid City to a 2-0 victory over the Sundogs.

Adam Russo took the loss for the Sundogs making 24 saves. Arizona outshot Rapid City 28-26. Arizona was 0-2 on the power play and Rapid City was 0-3 on the power play. The Arizona Sundogs meet the Rapid City Rush again tomorrow when they look to close out their two game set at Tim's Toyota Center.
