Arizona Sundogs News Release

RESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. - The Arizona Sundogs Hockey Club, in preparation for its second Central Hockey League postseason, today announced its finalized playoff roster.

The most noted change consists of a roster spot being held for forward Tyler Redenbach as he could potentially be reassigned by NHL parent club the Phoenix Coyotes to the Arizona Sundogs at the conclusion of the American Hockey League's (AHL) regular season. The Coyotes loaned the Melville, Saskatchewan, native to the AHL's Grand Rapids Griffins on Jan. 29.

In 31 games with Arizona this season, Redenbach tallied 66 points (18g/48a) with 42 penalty minutes (PIM) and was a plus-15. Despite only playing roughly half the CHL season, the 23-year-old forward still ranks as Arizona's second leading scorer in the regular season.

Defenseman David Schlemko will also rejoin the Sundogs in time for their playoff run. The 20-year-old was recalled to the AHL's San Antonio Rampage on March 14.

Arizona has also added amateur defenseman Kyle Hood. Hood, 23, has spent the past four seasons at Ohio State University. In 134 games with the Buckeyes, the Osoyoos, British Columbia, native has collected 17 goals, 38 assists and 112 PIM.

Players that have been left off the 2008 playoff roster include Kevin Cormier (injury), Lee Svangstu (injury) and Barry Horman.

The Sundogs will face divisional foe the New Mexico Scorpions in the second round beginning on Friday, March 28 at Tim's Toyota Center in Prescott Valley. Game time is set for 7:05pm. Ticket for the second round start at just $13 and are available by phone at 1-866-4-GET-TIX (1-866-443-8849), on the internet at www.gettix.net and in person at the Tim's Toyota Center Box Office.
