Cory Urquhart's Four-Goal Night Voted Performance Of The Week

The Central Hockey League (CHL) announced today that Arizona forward Cory Urquhart's four-goal effort in the Sundogs 7-2 win vs. Amarillo on March 14th. Acquired in February when assigned by the Phoenix Coyotes (the Sundogs NHJL affiliate), Urquhart made an immediate impact scoring four goals in his first four games and finished with 20 goals and 13 assists in just 16 games. The Halifax, Nova Scotia native finished the regular season on a 10-game goal scoring streak tying the longest such streak this season (Rocky Mountain's Daymen Rycroft).

The four-goal outburst for Urquhart earned 3,217 votes accounting for 77% of the votes cast (4,180 fans voted in this week's poll). Earning second place was Konrad Reeder's six-point game on March 15th in the Scorpions 8-5 win over Rocky Mountain. Urquhart will be automatically considered as a finalist for the 2007-08 CHL Performance of the Year which will be announced in April, 2008.

Urquhart and the Sundogs finished the regular season on a nine-game win streak and will open their best-of-seven conference semi finals series with New Mexico on Friday, March 28th at the Tim's Toyota Center.

Arizona erasing a 5-0 deficit by scoring six times in the third period of a 7-6 OT win vs. RMR, 3/19

Cory Urquhart's (ARZ) 10-game goal scoring streak (tied for longest in the CHL this season)

New Mexico's two third period goals in 5-4 win vs. AMA, 3/22

Ryan Bennett (YNG) scoring two third period goals including game-tying goal with 43 seconds remaining in 3-2 win vs. COL, 3/22

Ian Keserich (MIS) earning 1st pro shutout making 33 saves in 1-0 win vs. OKC, 3/20
