Arizona Sundogs News Release
Prescott Valley, AZ - The Arizona Sundogs edged past the Allen Americans Wednesday night with a final score of 5-3, extending their winning streak to six games. Bryan Cameron scored three goals registering the Sundogs first hat trick of the season.
The Sundogs trailed by two goals going into the second period after the Americans registered their first goal 4:50 into the first period and was scored by Greg Hanson. Allen struck again with a power play goal after Sebastian Geoffrion was given two minutes for interference.
Bryan Cameron registered his first of three goals Wednesday night in the middle frame, equalizing the game. Arizona began the second period on the power play when Tyler Ludwig was called for cross checking with less then a minute remaining in the first. 1:48 into the period Cameron scored on the power play with assists from Jordan Clendenning and Matt McCready. With under five minutes left in the period Cameron scored again knotting the game. Kevin Baker edged the Sundogs past the Americans when he lit the lamp 17:37 in the period.
Allen quickly came out and scored their third goal, evening the score 48 seconds into the final period. Sundogs Team Captain, Jason Morgan scored the game winning goal when he ripped the puck past Allen's netminder and grabed the lead at the 12:30 mark. The Americans pulled their goalie giving them the man-advantage as they looked to tie the game when Arizona's Cameron scored his third goal of the night on an empty net.
Andrew Engelage registered the win for the Sundogs blocking 28 shots on net. The Sundogs outshot the Americans 41-31. Each team registered power play goals, and were 1-6 tonight on the power play. 19 offenses were accessed tonight including a 10 minute misconduct for abuse of officials.
The Sundogs face the Americans again Friday and Saturday night when the puck drops at 7:05PM at Tim's Toyota Center.
