November 27, 2013 - Central Hockey League (CHL)
St. Charles Chill News Release

St. Charles, Mo. - The Chill got two-point nights from Jordan Fox, Steve Makway, and Martin Hlinka to carry a one-goal lead into the third period but Tulsa tied it midway through the period to force overtime and took the extra point in a shootout by a final of 4-3.

Tulsa got on the board first when Blair Macualay finished a rebound but the Chill would answer with a short-handed goal from Fox on a feed from Martin Hlinka to tie the score at 1-1 to end the first period.

The Oilers (10-7-2) took back the lead just over two minutes into the second period but St. Charles (3-9-3) scored back-to-back goals from Anthony Perdicaro and Hlinka to take their first lead at the 13:35 mark by a count of 3-2.

The third period was a tightly played period but the Chill could not find the back of the net, hitting the post on five different occasions tonight and just missing on several opportunities as they peppered Oiler goalie Ross MacKinnon with 34 shots. Michel Beausoleil knocked in the game-tying goal at the 12:42 mark and the overtime period was scoreless. After Fox scored on the first shot of the shootout the Chill misfired on their next three attempts and the Oilers sealed the win with three-straight shootout goals after missing on the first.

St. Charles will enjoy a day off for Thanksgiving before heading to Quad City on Friday for another showdown with the Mallards before returning home for Pink the Rink night Saturday at 7:05 against the Brampton Beast. Single-game tickets start as low as $5 and are available through MetroTix and at The Family Arena box office.
