
Sun Waive Kiesel and Edwards

Uncasville, Conn. - The Connecticut Sun announced today that Brianna Kiesel and Ariel Edwards have been waived.
A native of Utica, NY, Kiesel was signed to a training camp contract on March 22 after playing in Poland, where she averaged 20.3 points, 4.1 assists, 3.8 rebounds and 2.4 steals in 16 games for Pszczolka AZS-UMCS.
Edwards, signed to a training camp contract in February, spent the past offseason in Spain, averaging 17.1 points and 5.1 rebounds per game for Araski. She had a standout season in Israel in 2017-18, averaging 17.5 points, 8.6 rebounds and 2.5 assists for Maccabi Raanana.
The Sun will open the season with a preseason doubleheader on May 13th and 14th. May 13th starts with Dallas and Atlanta tipping off at 5 p.m. The Sun host the Liberty at 7 p.m. On May 14th, the Liberty meet the Dream at 5 p.m. and the Sun face Dallas at 7 p.m.
