
Sun Host Chicago in Season Opener at Mohegan Sun Arena

UNCASVILLE, Conn. (May 14, 2010) - The Connecticut Sun will open the 2010 regular season by hosting the Chicago Sky on Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
This will be the regular season debut of the new-look Sun, featuring former UConn stars Tina Charles and Renee Montgomery, veteran newcomers Kara Lawson and DeMya Walker, and promising rookies Kelsey Griffin and Allison Hightower.
Doors open to the general public at 2:30 p.m.
The Sun are coming off a 2-1 preseason with Charles, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2010 WNBA Draft, averaging a team-high 19.3 points and 10.3 rebounds per game. Charles will face a major challenge Saturday against Sylvia Fowles, Chicago's talented center, who anchors a starting lineup that also includes Shameka Christon.
