Sugar Skulls Name Joshua Resignalo Defensive Coordinator

The Tucson Sugar Skulls have named Joshua Resignalo as the defensive coordinator for the 2024 season, joining Coach Back's staff.

Joshua Resignalo, known to most players as "Coach Res", enters the 2024 season going into his 17th season of experience of having both played and coached in multiple indoor football leagues.

Most recently in 2021 and 2022, Coach Res was the GM and Head Coach of the Carolina Cobras. Coach Res led the Cobras to the 2022 season Championship game where they would finish as runner-up.

Resignalo not only coaches Professional, but has 16 seasons of coaching Junior College and High School football as well. Coach Res has experience in various roles such as Position Coach, Offensive Coordinator, Defensive Coordinator, Head Football Coach, Scout, and General Manager.

Coach Res is no stranger to challenges and leading men, the former United States Marine Corps combat veteran fought two tours of duty in the Iraq War. Coach Res is married to a beautiful bride has two amazing children and resides in North Carolina.
