Sharks Sign Three Rookies

JACKSONVILLE, FL - The Jacksonville Sharks continue to bulk up their inaugural IFL Training Camp roster for the 2024 season. The Sharks announced the signing of QB Robert (Bobby) Froehlich, LB JaQuez Jackson, and WR DimitriosTsesmetzis. Three talentedplayers looking to continue their football careers on the turf and provide an immediateimpact for the Sharks.

Bobby Froehlich (6 '4,235) attended Wittenberg University, where he played three seasons andcompiled 2,762 yards in 22 games, grabbing 19 touchdowns through the air and six onthe ground. The North Coast Athletic Conference product finished his college careerwith a 138.0 quarterback efficiency rating. Froehlich also has prior arena experiencewith the Rapid City Marshals and the Tulsa Oilers.

Former Georgia Tech standout JaQuez Jackson (6 '0,225) joins the Sharks after appearing in47 games for the Yellow Jackets. Jackson put up 247 tackles, 17.5 tackles for loss, threesacks, two forced fumbles, and two interceptions during his career with Georgia Tech.Jackson also brings IFL experience appearing in eight games last year for the VegasNighthawks where he tallied 47 tackles, three sacks, and an interception.

Dimitrios Tsesmetzis (6 '6,245) out of Western Connecticut State University played two seasons of Colonials football and appeared in 21 games. The tight end totaled 145 receiving yards, eight touchdowns and one 2PT (two-point conversion). Tsesmetzis wasdrafted to the XFL D.C Defenders in 2020.
