Sugar Land claimed a 5-1 victory in tonight's series finale against York at Santander Stadium. With the win, the Skeeters improve to 22-22 overall and 12-11 in their 23 road games on the season.

Lefty Steve Hammond (5.0,4,0,0,4,4) tossed 5.0 scoreless innings in his ninth start, giving up just four hits while striking out four in the outing. His four hits allowed tied his season-low mark as he moved to 3-5 on the year.

Right fielder Brian Barton (1x5, 2 R) put the Skeeters on the board in the fourth, reaching base on an error by Revs third baseman Travis Garcia. Barton later advanced to third on a groundout by first baseman Travis Scott (1x4) and scored on a failed pickoff attempt at first base by York starter Jorge Martinez.

Center fielder Michael Rockett (1x3, R, 3 RBI) and shortstop Taylor Harbin (1x4, R, RBI) knocked back-to-back home runs in the sixth, extending Sugar Land's lead to 3-0 and bringing the team's home run count to six over their last two matchups against the Revolution. In the next frame, DH Delwyn Young (0x4, R) was hit by a pitch and moved to second base following a base-hit by Barton. Scott was granted a free pass in the next at-bat before shortstop Dominic Ramos (2x5, RBI) drove in Young with a single to third. Barton then came around to score on a groundout by Rockett, making it a 5-1 ballgame entering the eighth.

Right-hander Roy Corcoran (1.0,1,1,0,0,1) relieved Hammond in the sixth and recorded one strikeout before Cory VanAllen (1.0,0,0,0,0,0), Jared Wells (1.0,0,0,0,0,0) and Gary Majewski (1.0,1,0,0,0,1) combined to throw 3.0 innings of scoreless relief.
