Regina Pats News Release
Regina, Saskatchewan - The Subway Super Series is here! Team WHL will host Team Russia tonight at 7:00pm at the Brandt Centre. Team WHL is looking for some revenge after Russia took both games in last year's Subway Super Series, with a team that was predominantly made up of players that won gold at the World Junior Hockey Championships in Buffalo, NY.
The Regina Pats will be well represented with Jordan Weal and Colton Jobke suiting up for Team WHL. This is the second time that Weal will be playing for Team WHL, he was a part of the team that lost to the Russians last year.
Heading into tonight, the CHL currently has 7-4 lead in points over Team Russia after the first four games of the Subway Super Series. Three points for a win, two points for a win in a shootout and a point for a shootout loss.
