Strikers Make Final Roster Moves on Eve of Season Opener

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (Friday, April 3, 2015) - The Fort Lauderdale Strikers today announced the signing of defender Daniel Navarro. The club has also re-signed goalkeeper Lionel Brown and midfielder Josh Travagli. Per team and league policy, terms of the deals were not disclosed.

Navarro, 23, is a Brazilian-American defender capable of playing in the center of defense or as a holding midfielder. Born in Hyannis, Mass., Navarro has spent the majority of his life in Brazil. He is a product of Avaî - Futebol Clube and most recently played for Dom Bosco.

Brown, 27, returns to the Strikers for his fourth year with the club. Originally signed ahead of the 2012 season, Brown has served primarily as a backup goalkeeper, appearing in two contests in his Strikers career.

Travagli, 19, has re-signed for a second year with the Strikers. The Italian-born midfielder spent the 2014 season with the club.

Navarro will wear the number 25 jersey. Brown and Travagli retain numbers 22 and 16, respectively.

The Fort Lauderdale Strikers kick off the 2015 NASL Spring Season against rivals New York Cosmos at Lockhart Stadium on Saturday (April 4) at 7:30 p.m. EDT. A limited number of tickets are available starting at $12 on Strikers.com .
