New York Cosmos News Release
NEW YORK (April 3, 2015) - The New York Cosmos announced today that the team has partnered with SkinnyPizza. SkinnyPizza will become the Cosmos' Official Pizza and an Official Restaurant Partner. As per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
"We are very excited about our partnership with the NY Cosmos. Growing up in Long Island I have great memories of the Cosmos," said Joseph Vetrano, President and Founder of SkinnyPizza. "This is a perfect fit for Skinnypizza and the Cosmos. Our brand allows kids, adults and athletes to eat healthier today. That's what made it an easy choice for the Cosmos.
"With our three locations and now franchising we will be able to promote the Cosmos in all of our locations. At the same time we'll be their official pizza and let people learn about us. It's a fantastic fit and partnership."
SkinnyPizza branding will also be present on gamedays at Hofstra University's Shuart Stadium.
"We're delighted to be teaming up with SkinnyPizza," Chief Operating Officer Erik Stover said. "SkinnyPizza is committed to creating an innovative, healthy product which is the perfect fit as our team's pizza of choice."
