Strike Force Sign Donta Armstrong

SAN DIEGO, California - The Strike Force have signed wide receiver Donta Armstrong to their 2020 Indoor Football League roster.

Armstrong (5-10, 175, University of West Alabama) joins San Diego after appearing in four games with the Arizona Rattlers during the 2019 season. Before Arizona, Armstrong appeared in one game for the Nebraska Danger in 2018. He recorded three receptions for 39 yards and one touchdown.

"Donta has been able to get indoor experience the past few seasons and has the ability to be an explosive playmaker," said Strike Force General Manager Ryan Eucker. "We're looking forward to seeing him continue to grow and compete in training camp."

Prior to the IFL, Armstrong played for the University of West Alabama Tigers for two seasons appearing in 24 games totaling 177 receptions for 1,854 yards and 13 touchdowns. He also returned 33 punts for 610 yards and three touchdowns and led UWA during both seasons with a total of 2,520 all-purpose yards while earning All-American, All-Region, and All-Gulf South Conference honors during both the 2016 and 2017 campaigns. He also led the league during his senior season in yards per reception (12.5) and yards receiving per game.

Donta attended Northwest Community College before UWA where he was named NJCAA All-American with 722 return yards and was a First Team All-Region wide receiver with 29 receptions for 331 yards and one touchdown during his sophomore season. As a freshman, he led the team in receptions with 39 for 537 yards. A native of Bruce, Mississippi where he attended Bruce High School, he led the Rams to four consecutive MHSAA playoff berths with 933 career all-purpose yards with 31 receptions for 697 yards and nine touchdowns.
