Former Vikings Running Back to Attend Bucks March 8 Game

BISMARCK, ND - The Bismarck Bucks announced today, Minnesota Vikings legend, Chuck Foreman will be honored at the Bismarck Bucks season opener on March 8, 2020 at the Bismarck Event Center.

Foreman, the former NLF running back (1973-80), will be in Bismarck to help the Bucks kick off their 2020 season as the honorary captain. He will be recognized prior to the game at the coin toss. Bucks fans will have the chance to meet the five-time pro bowler, take photos, and get autographs before the game, during halftime and after the game. Merchandise will be available for fans to purchase throughout the game.

Foreman's memorable career started at Fredrich High School in Maryland. He went on to play college ball at the University of Miami and was drafted to the Minnesota Vikings in 1973. He had promising rookie season after he ran for 801 yards in just 12 games. After posting those numbers, he was named the NLF's Offensive Rookie of the Year in 1973. He had a continued impact to the Vikings offense when he ran his way to three consecutive 1,000-yard seasons (1975-1977). He also played a prominent role from the backfield in three Super Bowl appearances with the Vikings (1974, 1975, and 1977). Seven of his eight NFL seasons were spent with the Vikings, before going to the New England Patriots in 1980 for his final NFL season. His tremendous impact on the Vikings organization earned him a spot in the Vikings Ring of Honor in 2007.

Foreman now spends his time off the field giving back to the football community and celebrating the positive impact of the sport.
