Strike Force Adds Anno to Coaching Staff

SAN DIEGO, California - The Strike Force have added Sam Anno to their coaching staff in prep for the 2020 Indoor Football League Season.
Anno joins the Strike Force in his first season as a coach in the IFL after helping out towards the end of the 2019 season. Coming to San Diego with over ten years of coaching experience in the NFL with the Oakland Raiders (2015-2017) and at the collegiate level with the University of San Diego (2009-2015), Central Connecticut State (2008), and University of Southern California (2005-2007). During his tenure with Oakland, Sam served as a defensive assistant during Pro Bowl (2015-2017) and two-time First-Team All-Pro (2015, 2016) linebacker Khalil Mack as well as Pro Bowl defensive backs Charles Woodson (2015) and Reggie Nelson (2016) careers.
"It's great to be able to add Sam's experience as a player and coach to our staff," said Strike Force General Manager Ryan Eucker. "As a former USC Trojan and NFL player that went on to coach at the collegiate and professional levels, Sam has been where our players strive to be. His ability to relate to our guys while helping them to hone in their craft is big for our organization."
Prior to his coaching career, Anno spent seven years in the NFL as a linebacker and long snapper with the Los Angeles Rams (1987), Minnesota Vikings (1987-1988), Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1989-1991) and San Diego Chargers (1992-1993). In 1989 he was recognized by the NFL with Special Teams Player of the Year honors. Anno was a linebacker with the USC Trojans (1983-1986) posting 127 tackles during the 1985 season. He also contributed to the teams 1984 Rose Bowl win versus Ohio State.
Sam graduated in 1987 from USC with a Bachelor's Degree in Communications. Later earning his Masters in Athletic Administration also from USC. Originally from Santa Monica.
