
Stovall and Delgado Homer in RedHawks' 4-1 Victory over Kansas City

Fargo, ND - Ryan Stovall hit a solo home run in the third and Ryan Delgado hit a three-run home run in the sixth to lead the Fargo Moorhead RedHawks to a 4-1 victory over the Kansas City T-Bones on Thursday, June 07, 2012 at Newman Outdoor Field.
RedHawks starting pitcher Paul Burnside pitched solid early, going 1-2-3 through the first two innings of the T-Bones lineup and striking out five hitters in his first three innings.
The RedHawks would strike first in the third. With one out, Fargo-Moorhead third baseman Ryan Stovall hit a first-pitch homerun over the left field fence off T-Bones starter Brian Grening to give Fargo-Moorhead an early 1-0 lead.
Fargo-Moorhead extended their lead in the sixth. After two-out walks to Nic Jackson and Sergio Perdoza, Ryan Delgado hit a 0-2 pitch out of the ballpark to give the RedHawks a 4-0 lead.
Burnside would be relieved in the seventh by Kevin Fuqua and Joe Harris. Kansas City got their first run in the game that inning after a groundout by Jose Duran scored Trevor Coleman, cutting the RedHawk lead to 4-1.
The RedHawk bullpen finished out the eighth and ninth giving up only one hit behind the arms of Harris and Tom Boleska.
With the victory, Fargo-Moorhead improves their record to 9-11 on the season. Paul Burnside pitched 6+ innings of two-hit baseball, giving up one run (none earned), and striking out four. He improved his record to 2-2. Tom Boleska picked up his fifth save this season after working the last 1 1/3 innings.
Brian Grening pitched a complete game but picked up the loss for Kansas City, giving up four earned runs on four hits. His record dropped to 2-2.
Stovall, Delgado, Zach Penprase, and Marcos Rodriguez each had one hit for the RedHawks. The T-Bones (10-10) were led by Justin Bass who went 2-for-4.
The RedHawks continue their seven-game home stand with a three-game series with the Winnipeg Goldeyes at 7:02 p.m. on Friday at Newman Outdoor Field.
