Calgary Hitmen News Release

Calgary, AB - Riley Stotts snapped a 3-3 tie with 3:19 remaining to lift the Calgary Cowboys past the Regina Pats 4-3 on Wednesday night at the Stampede Corral.

It was Game 2 of "The Corral Series" presented by Adrenalin Source for Sports as the Calgary Hitmen were branded Cowboys for a night, saluting a franchise that played two seasons in the World Hockey Association from 1975-77.

The line of Mark Kastelic, Kaden Elder and Cael Zimmerman led the way for the Cowboys combining for six points. Elder scored twice, Kastelic tallied a goal and an assist while Zimmerman chipped in a pair of helpers.

No team led by more than a single goal throughout the game with Calgary holding leads of 1-0 and 3-2 before the Stotts winner. Regina twice battled back to draw even but at one point led 2-1.

Final shots were 38-36 for the Cowboys in front of 4,223 fans.

The victory extended Calgary's point streak to seven games posting a record of 6-0-1 during that stretch.

There is one Corral Series game left with the Hitmen to wear Calgary Wranglers jerseys on Friday, Feb. 8 against the Prince Albert Raiders. Game time is 7:00 p.m. at the Stampede Corral.

Great seats are still available including a family four pack for $80 plus GST which includes tickets for two adults and two kids 12 and under.
