Seattle Storm News Release

This Week's Opponents

Los Angeles: The Storm and Sparks will meet for the second time this season after the Storm earned an 83-71 win in Los Angeles on June 24. Lauren Jackson stole the show that night, matching her career high with 35 points and also grabbing 10 rebounds. The win was Seattle's third straight against the Sparks in Los Angeles and third in the last four meetings overall. The Storm trail 14-11 in the all-time series.

Houston: Seattle and Houston will square off for the fourth and final time this season. The home team has won the previous three meetings, including the Storm's franchise-record 22-point comeback on Opening Night. In the most recent meeting, an 81-76 Comets victory in Houston last Thursday, the Storm trimmed a 14-point, second-half deficit to two before falling. Jackson (25 points) and Betty Lennox (23 points) led the way for the Storm in the loss. The Comets lead the all-time series 18-9 and have won six straight against the Storm in Houston.

San Antonio: The Silver Stars took the first two meetings with the Storm this season and have won four of the last five dating to last year. Despite the loss, the last meeting was a memorable one for forward Wendy Palmer as the veteran became the 16th player in WNBA history to reach the 3,000-point mark. San Antonio owns a narrow 14-11 lead in the all-time series.
