Seattle Storm News Release
This Week's Opponent
Los Angeles Sparks: The Storm will open their season against the rival Sparks for the second straight year. Last summer, the Storm shot an all-time low 23.7 percent from the field in a 68-50 loss on Opening Night. Lauren Jackson managed eight points in the loss, snapping a streak of 84 consecutive games in double-figures scoring. Seattle dropped a 76-65 decision to Los Angeles on June 24 before rallying to win the final two meetings and split the season series. A victory this week would give the Storm their first-ever three-game winning streak against the Sparks and chip away at Los Angeles' current 13-8 margin in the all-time series.
