KEARNEY, Neb. - The Tri-City Storm and Platte Valley State Bank have teamed up to honor an active or veteran military individual during each Storm home game this season in what will be known as the 'Patriotic Salute'.
The presentation will occur during the first media timeout of the first period at the Viaero Event Center.
"To salute an active or veteran military individual with this partnership is just one way to honor and say thank you to those that serve or have served this great country," said Mark Sutko, President of Platte Valley State Bank. "We are very proud of you."
To nominate an active or veteran military member, a form must be completed and sent to Alicia Korte in the Storm office at Alicia@stormhockey.com or by calling 308-338-8809.
"We're most excited to welcome Platte Valley State Bank as a new sponsorship partner in a special game promotion that will resonate with our fans and the community in general," said Tri-City Storm President Greg Shea. "We wanted to share this opportunity with a local business that has history of giving back and connecting with not only its customers, but the region as a whole."
The Storm's regular season opener will take place on Sept. 28 at the Viaero Event Center against their in-state rivals, the Lincoln Stars. The first 2,000 fans in attendance will be treated to a free pregame barbeque, and all fans in attendance can witness a fireworks show at the conclusion of the contest, presented by Viaero Wireless.
Season tickets for the 2013-14 season are on sale now. For more information, log on to stormhockey.com or call the Viaero Event Center Box Office at 308-338-8011.
