Storm Tickets For Spokane Game On Sale Saturday

SEATTLE – The Seattle Storm today announced that tickets for the June 26 game against the New York Liberty at Spokane Arena will go on sale Saturday, May 8 beginning at 10 a.m.

The Storm, led by 2003 WNBA MVP Lauren Jackson and two-time WNBA All-Star Sue Bird, is partnering with Spokane Arena, Hoopfest and The KXLY-AM Broadcast Group in presenting the first out-of-market WNBA regular-season game in league history.

"Hosting a Storm game in Spokane represents a tremendous opportunity for us to showcase WNBA basketball in our state's second-largest market," Storm Chief Operating Officer Karen Bryant said.

Fans can purchase tickets to the Spokane game by calling 1-800-325-SEAT or logging on to www.ticketswest.com. Ticket prices range from $10 to $35.

"Hoopfest is thrilled to have the Storm host New York as a new and exciting part of Hoopfest weekend," Hoopfest Executive Director Rick Steltenpohl said. "We're pleased the Storm will bring their promising team to Spokane and welcome the opportunity to mix WNBA action with the world's largest 3-on-3 basketball tournament."

The Storm tip off the 2004 WNBA season on Thursday, May 20 against Minnesota at KeyArena.

Single-game tickets for all 2004 Storm games at KeyArena can be purchased by logging on to storm.wnba.com or calling 1-877-WNBA-TIX. Storm tickets are also available at the Sonics & Storm Team shop located at 312 First Ave.
