
Sun\'s Debbie Black to Have Minor Knee Surgery

UNCASVILLE, CT. (May 6, 2004) â Connecticut Sun guard Debbie Black will undergo arthroscopic surgery on her left knee after it was discovered that she has a chip on her patella and a bone bruise.
Team physician Michael Joyce will perform the short procedure Friday at Windham Hospital. Black, 37, may be sidelined up to three weeks, but team officials are hopeful she will return for the regular season opener on May 22 against the Phoenix Mercury.
