
Storm Set for Weekend Series against Musketeers

KEARNEY, NE. - The Tri-City Storm is set to host the Sioux City Musketeers for back-to-back home games this weekend at the Viaero Center following last weekend's road sweep of the Musketeers and the Sioux Falls Stampede. Tickets for tonight's matchup are still available, and may be purchased online at www.StormHockey.com, or by calling the Viaero Center Box Office at 308-338-8144. Puck drop for tonight's game is scheduled for 7:05pm CT.
Tri-City (20-16-2-3) returns home to the Viaero Center for tonight's matchup, and will play nine of the next eleven games on home ice. The Storm posted a 5-2 win less than one week ago at the Tyson Events Center. Trevor Connelly (2), Cale Ashcroft, Alex Bump, and Tanner Adams scored Tri-City's goals in the victory. The Storm completed the two-game road weekend on Sunday afternoon in a 4-2 win over the Sioux Falls Stampede. August Falloon (2), Trevor Connelly, and Jake Richard scored the Storm's goals during the matchup. Tonight's game will be the first played at the Viaero Center between the Storm and the Musketeers since the two Western Conference opponents faced off on May 7th, 2022, in Game #2 of the 2022 Western Conference Final. Tri-City has won two of three games played this season against Sioux City. Scoring leaders for the Storm entering this weekend's home series against the Musketeers include Jake Richard (20), Evan Werner (14), Graham Gamache (13), Kieran Cebrian (11), Trevor Connelly (11), and Alex Bump (10). The Storm will play host to the Musketeers again tomorrow night at the Viaero Center at 7:05pm CT following tonight's matchup.
Sioux City (19-18-2-3) enters tonight's road matchup against Tri-City directly behind the Storm in the Western Conference standings. The Musketeers sit two points behind the Storm for 4th place in the Conference standings. Sioux City snapped a five-game winless skid in Sunday afternoon's 7-5 home win over the Lincoln Stars at the Tyson Events Center. Sioux City scored five times during the 3rd period to seal the victory. Dylan Godbout (2), Grant Slukynsky (2), Ryan Conmy, Ben Doran, and Tomi Leppanen scored goals during the battle for the Musketeers. Scoring leaders for Sioux City entering this weekend's road series against Tri-City include Ryan Conmy (25), Tyler Hotson (11), Dylan Godbout (11), Grant Slukynsky (11), Ben Poitras (11), Kaden Sahan (11), and Ben Doran (10). Sioux City's trip to Kearney this weekend is the team's first in nearly 300 days. The Musketeers' lone victory against the Storm in this year's series was posted on October 21st, 2022, at the Tyson Events Center. Sioux City won the matchup by a final score of 5-2.
