Storm Set for Puck's N' Paw's Night

KEARNEY, NE - The Tri-City Storm is set to host the league-leading Fargo Force tonight at the Viaero Center for the organization's annual Puck's N' Paws Night presented by PetSmart. The Storm defeated the Force last night at the Viaero Center by a final score of 7-3. Fan tickets to tonight's game are still available, and may be purchased online at www.StormHockey.com, or by calling the Viaero Center Box Office at 308-338-8144. $2 Dog tickets can be purchased in person at the Box Office, with proceeds benefiting the Kearney Area Animal Shelter. Puck drop is set for 7:05pm CT.

Tri-City (27-17-3-3) improved to 2-3-1-0 in head-to-head matchups against Fargo this season in last night's four-goal victory at the Viaero Center. Graham Gamache (2), Cale Ashcroft, Kieran Cebrian, Evan Werner, Jake Richard, and Jacob Jeannette scored the Storm's goals in the win. Cameron Korpi improved to 9-2-2-0 on the season in goal for Tri-City in the victory. Tri-City matched a single-game season-high total in offensive production with seven goals scored during the battle. The Storm has scored seven goals in a game three times this season, with all occurring in the last seven games. Scoring leaders for Tri-City entering tonight's fifty-first game of the year include Jake Richard (27), Graham Gamache (18), Trevor Connelly (16), Evan Werner (16), and Kieran Cebrian (14). The Storm improved to 6-2-1-0 when tied after the 1st period, and 23-0-1-0 when leading after the 2nd period this season, in last night's home win.

Fargo (36-10-2-4) will seek to avoid dropping three consecutive games for the first time this season following a 7-1 home loss to Waterloo one week ago, and a 7-3 road loss to Tri-City last night. Verner Miettinen, Bret Link, and Cole Knuble each netted a goal for the Force in last night's four-goal loss. Matej Marinov recorded the loss in net for Fargo after making 28 saves on 34 shots. Scoring leaders for the Force entering tonight's rematch against the Storm at the Viaero Center include Cole Knuble (27), Bret Link (22), Anthony Menghini (20), and Owen Mehlenbacher (16). Fargo dropped to 5-4-0-2 when tied after the 1st period, and 3-7-0-0 when trailing after the 2nd period in last night's road loss.

The three-game weekend series will conclude tomorrow afternoon in a 3:05pm CT battle between the Force and the Storm at the Viaero Center. The game will serve as Tri-City's annual United Way Night. Tri-City players will wear specialty sweaters during the matchup. The game-worn jerseys will be auctioned off in both a postgame auction, and an online auction. A Nebraska Lottery Family 4-Pack will also be available for purchase. The ticket deal includes four tickets to tomorrow afternoon's home game at the Viaero Center between the Tri-City Storm and the Fargo Force, four hot dogs, four sodas, and two Nebraska Lottery Scratch Off Tickets for $40.
