SEATTLE, Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2007 - The Seattle Storm today signed 6-3 forward Astou Ndiaye-Diatta (ah-STEW EN-jye JAW-tah) for the remainder of the season, Storm Head Coach and Director of Player Personnel Anne Donovan announced.
Ndiaye-Diatta has appeared in three games for the Storm, averaging 2.7 points and 2.0 rebounds per game. A seven-year WNBA veteran, Ndiaye-Diatta has appeared in 162 career games (101 starts) for Detroit (1999-2003), Indiana (2004), Houston (2006) and Seattle, posting career averages of 7.6 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.0 assists per game. Ndiaye-Diatta appeared in 11 games for the Shock during their WNBA Championship season in 2003.
