2007 Sacramento Monarchs
Fan Appreciation
The Monarchs will celebrate their fans on Friday, August 17 when they face off against the Phoenix Mercury. The game will include the Monarchs version of the Oscars, the MONTYS (MONarchs Thank You Sacramento), where awards for best arena snack and entertainment will be given out. In addition, each fan who attends the game will receive a 2007 Monarchs team poster.
Playoff Berth
With a win over the Connecticut Sun on August 7, the Monarchs have clinched a spot in the 2007 playoffs. This marks the back-to-back Western Conference Champion's fifth consecutive playoff appearance - their eighth appearance in nine seasons. Most Improved
Monarchs forward Rebekkah Brunson has made huge improvements in her game during the 2007 season. Her improved play has other WNBA players and coach's taking notice, making her a standout candidate for the WNBA's 2007 Most Improved Player Award.

Monarchs/Silver Stars Connections
Silver Stars forward Erin Buescher was a member of the 2005 and 2006 Sacramento Monarchs team. During her time with Sacramento, Buescher was awarded the 2006 WNBA Most Improved Player Award.
Monarchs Head Coach, Jenny Boucek played for Silver Stars Coach Dan Hughes during her playing career in Cleveland.
Boucek was the assistant coach for the Miami Sol and Seattle Storm. During that time, she coached now Silver Star, Ruth Riley and Silver Stars Assistant Sandy Brondello.
Silver Stars center Chantelle Anderson is a former member of the Monarchs from 2003-2004.
Silver Stars guard Shanna Crossley (Zolman) ('06) and Monarchs guard Kara Lawson ('03) graduated from Tennessee.
Ticha Penicheiro and Agnieszka Bibrzycka both spent the 2006-2007 off-season with Spartak in Russia, winning the Russian SuperLeague in May 2007.
Monarchs guard Scholanda Robinson ('06) and Silver Stars guard Marie Ferdinand-Harris ('01) both graduated from Louisiana State.
Moanrchs forward La'Tangela Atkinson ('06) and Silver Stars forward Camille Little ('07) were teammates at North Carolina.
