Storm Pushes Point Streak to 13 Games

FARGO, ND. - The Tri-City Storm pushed its point streak to 13 games in a come-from-behind victory Friday night at Scheels Arena. Tri-City defeated Fargo 3-2 after erasing a two-goal deficit in the 3rd period. Mitchell Miller scored the game-winning goal with 15 seconds remaining in the game. Victor Czerneckianair also netted his fifth goal of the year in the win. Sebastian Wraneschitz recorded his third win of the season in net for the Storm. Tri-City tied an organizational record for most games in a row recording at least one point in the standings.

The Storm outshot the Force 11-9 in Friday's 1st period, and the game entered the 2nd period in a scoreless tie. Fargo's Trevor Griebel scored his second goal of the season at 4:25 of the 2nd period to put the Force ahead by one goal. JP Turner netted a goal at 7:22 of the period to give Fargo a 2-0 lead in the game. Tri-City outshot Fargo 8-6 in the 2nd period and trailed by two goals entering the 3rd period. The Storm previously held a 1-1-0-0 record when trailing after the 2nd period entering Friday's game.

Tri-City's comeback began less than four minutes into the 3rd period when Mitchell Miller scored his first goal of the game and 17th goal of the season. Miller's goal was netted at 3:50 of the 3rd period and was scored on the powerplay. Gavin Brindley notched his 14th assist on the season on the scoring play. Victor Czerneckianair scored a five-on-three powerplay goal with under seven minutes to play in the 3rd period to bring the score to a 2-2 tie. Czerneckianair's goal was his 5th of the season at was netted at 13:30 of the period. Mitchell Miller and Gavin Brindley each notched an assist on the goal. Miller scored his second goal of the game and 18th goal of the season with less than 16 seconds to play in Friday's 3rd period to seal the Storm's win. Gavin Brindley recorded his third assist of the game on the scoring play. Tri-City outshot Fargo 16-8 in the 3rd period and 35-23 overall in the game.

Sebastian Wraneschitz made 21 saves on 23 shots to record the victory in net for Tri-City. Matej Marinov made 32 saves on 35 shots and recorded the loss in goal for Fargo.

Tri-City improved to 30-5-2-0 in the win and remains the 1st place team in the USHL's league standings.
