Sioux Falls Storm News Release
The Sioux Falls Storm (4-1) will be on the road this weekend traveling to Sioux City to take on the Bandits (2-2) looking for a road win after a rare loss at the Storm Shelter . The two rival teams will face off at 7:05PM Saturday, April 10, at the Tyson Event Center.
The Bandits are coming off a 55-27 victory over the Colorado Ice that ended a two game loosing streak. The Bandit defense and special teams had an outstanding night. Leading the defense was linebacker Spetlar Tonga and defensive back Alex Ardley. Tonga had two takeaways on the night that both led to touchdowns. Ardley became the Bandits career leader in interceptions getting his 15th career interception against the Ice.
Sioux Falls is coming of a 44-26 loss against the Wichita Wild that gave the Storm just their second loss at home in the last 41 games. The loss has the Storm sharing in the lead for the Central West Division with the Wild. The Storm defense held the Wild to only 113 yards of total offense, but Wichita's special teams play gave the Wild a short field throughout night.
Storm fans that won't be making the trip to Sioux City are invited to Champps to catch the game live and cheer on the Storm with other fans. The game will be broadcast on KOOL 107.9 and streaming at www.siouxfallsstorm.com.
